As their name suggests, StrategiQ always take a strategic approach to any challenge and their support for Innovate Suffolk is no exception. As a fully integrated marketing agency they know how important it is to plan, implement, measure and iterate to reach a goal. They want the teams to ask the ‘Whys’, the ‘Hows’ and the ‘Whats’ during the hack and, if their challenge is accepted, they will be reviewing the process, as much as the outcome.
The challenge: “Getting a Team Up and About” “A recent feedback session found that although some StrategiQ team members are ‘gym bunnies’, others found sticking to a traditional exercise regime to be tough! Fresh air and exercise has proven benefits for both mental and physical well-being, and here at StrategiQ we would like to find a way to use technology to encourage our team to get outdoors and start burning some of those unwanted calories. We have over 40 people at two sites so a solution which helps multi site businesses would also be beneficial.”

Sponsoring Innovate Suffolk:
We’re sponsoring Innovate Suffolk for two reasons: we want to see get to know some local developers and because it sounds like a lot of fun. Some of our team have participated in hackathons before, but we’ve never been involved in one as a company before. Our developers are eager to join in and our judge is keen to see who might choose our challenge.
The challenge we’ve set comes from a place of wanting to be a bit more self sufficient. We’d like to see some use of technology to help people make use of any garden space they may have to grow their own fruit and veg. As a group, we’re not the most green-thumbed people you’d ever meet, so could use all the help we can get something we can harvest. More people are looking to eat a more “veg-heavy” diet and growing your own could be a really rewarding way to make that transition.
