Today we asked Peter Basford Treasurer of Innovate Suffolk and founding Director of Innovation Labs Stowmarket what challenge he would look to tackle under the theme of our next 48 hour Hackathon “the outdoors and agriculture”. Here is his idea:
” I would look to encourage participation in Foot Golf and promote the benefits of getting outdoors and playing the sport.
I would do this by building an app that links to a much wider network of uk foot golfers and records the health benefits/ calories burnt on a round to promote what is a fast growing sport to a much wider audience than just footballers and golfers
What about a foot golf online game as an esport too? Again a great way to promote the game… “
What would challenge would like to solve relating to the “outdoors and agriculture” and how would you do it?
Our next Hackathon takes place on the 27th, 28th and 29th of March 2020 at the University of Suffolk in Ipswich. Watch this space for more information on how you could breathe life into your idea and see it become a reality.
